Platte County Fair officials have asked Landmark Live, The Landmark’s weekly live telecast on Facebook, to do a show from the fairgrounds in Tracy on the opening night of this year’s fair.
Landmark Live will broadcast from a location on the fairgrounds, likely somewhere near the Dirty Shame Saloon or the Krautburger Stand. The show will go live on opening night, Wednesday, July 18 at 7 p.m. at Facebook.com/plattecountylandmark. If you miss it live, the video will remain on Facebook for viewing at your leisure.
If you’re planning to be at the fair that night, to watch the show in person look for the Landmark Live banner and three hot–as in sweaty–guys sitting in director’s chairs.
Hosts Ivan Foley, Brad Carl and Chris Kamler will be conducting interviews of fair organizers, participants and random crowd members, engaging in a variety of shenanigans and playing games involving the live audience.
Members of the live audience will have a chance to compete to win prizes. The show has its hands on a bottle of Kansas City Royals 50th Anniversary wine from Manos Wine. It will be the featured prize of the evening and will take some skill to win–whoever best completes a series of trials that only a Platte County Fairgoer can complete will take the collector’s item home. Other prizes to be given away that night in what could be trivia-based contests will include two tickets to see comic Carlos Mencia at Ameristar Casino, as well as Chippendales tickets for lucky ladies in the crowd.
The Landmark Live episode from the Platte County Fair will be sponsored by local realtor Brandon Edlin of RE/MAX.
Landmark Live, with thousands of views each week including a high water episode of 11,600 viewers, will celebrate its one year anniversary on the air in early September.
