A man disguised in a light-colored Halloween mask entered a bank during what is normally a very busy time of operation and demanded cash.

The armed bank robbery occurred Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Bank of Weston located at 6510 NW Prairie View Road, not far from the intersection of Interstate 29 and 64th Street in southern Platte County.

Surveillance photos of the incident reveal the suspect walked through the front door and pointed a gun directly at bank employees behind the counter.

The suspect leaped over the counter and demanded cash from the teller. No one was physically injured.

Authorities did not say whether a dye pack or tracking device was deployed during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, six feet tall, of medium build, with a light complexion.

He was wearing blue jeans, a dark or navy blue hoodie with faded lettering, and a pale plastic costume mask. The suspect also wore black tennis shoes and black gloves. At this time, authorities believe the suspect fled in a black four door Nissan with vanity tags that displayed the letter M.

Witnesses say the getaway vehicle was driven by a female.

The robbery continues to be investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
