Farley man charged in murder case

A man from Farley was charged with conspiracy to commit premeditated murder in connection with a bombing on Jan. 11 at the home where Olivia R. Jackson, 20, of Leavenworth, had been staying.

Jared A. Reed, 21, was charged in the Leavenworth County District Court on Friday. Bond was set for Reed at $1.5 million.

Reed is charged with attempting to help Sedale Fox, 23, of Lansing, kill Jackson, Fox’s girlfriend. At the time she was killed Fox was pregnant.

On Jan. 11, a pipe bomb exploded underneath the home where Jackson was staying and ignited a fire forcing Jackson and another woman to leave the home.

Jackson went to a mobile home on Tuesday, Jan. 22, where she was alegedly shot and killed by Fox. The unborn baby did not survive.

Fox has also been charged with conspiracy to commit premeditated murder and one count of first-degree murder. Bond for Fox was also set at $1.5 million.
