A car accident last Tuesday morning in Platte City left an 83-year-old Weston man hospitalized in North Kansas City.

The accident occurred at 9:37 a.m. at Zed Martin and Second Streets. The vehicle driven by 83-year-old George Hayden was headed west on Zed Martin when police say he failed to obey a stop sign at the T-shaped intersection.
