The closure of an area highway at the Platte River has been extended for three months longer than originally planned.
The Missouri Department of Transportation closed Missouri Route Z over the Platte River for bridge reconstruction on Monday, Oct. 14, and that closure has been extended to be completed on Friday, Aug. 8. Originally, the closure was to end in May. All work is weather permitting.
MoDOT officials say motorists should follow the suggested state detour:
Westbound Detour:
·Route B to Route 116 to Route F and back to Route Z
Eastbound Detour:
·Route F to Route 116 to Route B and back to Route Z
