CITY IS DEVELOPING A PLAN
The City Platte City is developing a plan for the future of its downtown.
The plan will be a guide to enhancing the streetscapes and facades, improving connectivity to and within downtown, identifying new housing opportunities, increasing economic development, promoting redevelopment, and more.

Platte City is also undertaking a parks and recreation master planning process for the first time ever. The plan will evaluate all the existing city parks, trails, green spaces, and recreational facilities.
Also, it will include recommendations for enhancing the city’s existing amenities and proposing new park and recreation features.
The City of Platte City, along with the consulting team of RDG Planning and Design, BHC, and Venice Communications, have scheduled two Design Studios open to the public to gather input for both the Downtown Plan and the Parks and Rec plans through a fun, interactive visioning process.
Residents and business owners are encouraged not to miss this opportunity.
It’s an informal gathering so come by to learn more about the projects and share your ideas.
