Motorists using Running Horse Road just north of Hwy. D (also known as NW 120th Street) south of Platte City should anticipate delays starting later this week.

Five businesses hit in series of break-ins

The Platte City Special Road District has issued a construction permit to Havens Construction to perform installation of a storm drain along Running Rose Road. Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, April 16, and the plan to is to close one lane of Running Horse in the construction area while work is underway.

The work is expected to last about a week, said Frank Offutt of the Platte City Special Road District.
