NUEVA REINA SE NOMBRARÁ EL 19 DE JULIO
La bella reina Andrea Jones pronto pasará la corona a una nueva señorita del condado de Platte.
El año pasado, Andrea representó la Feria del Condado de Platte en los desfiles de Weston, Platte City y Parkville.
Andrea is a life long resident of Platte County. Her ancestors came to Platte County 185 years ago from Fauquier County, Va. Andrea’s great-great-great grandfather, Thompson T. Jones, arrived in Platte County in 1838 with four of his siblings.
Andrea’s great-great grandparents George and Delia Jones were born in Platte County. George, who chose pharmacy as his career in Platte City, attended the first Platte County Fair. Max and Lucy Jones, Andrea’s great-grandparents, were publishers of The Landmark in Platte City for many years. They printed many fair books and flyers and often attended the fair.
Andrea’s grandparents, Andy and Anne Jones of southern Platte, chaired the Fair Queen Contest and the kids’ games for many years.
Andrea’s parents, Troy and Phyllis Jones, have always lived in Platte County. They promoted the Demolition Derbies for many years., Troy served as president of the Platte County Fair Board in 2005 and 2006.
Andrea es estudiante de tercer año en la Universidad Estatal del Noroeste de Missouri. Ella se está especializando en Educación Primaria/Especial.
Es miembro de Alpha Sigma Alpha. Fue nombrada Little Miss en la Feria del Condado de Platte cuando tenía tres años y nuevamente cuando tenía cuatro años.
As a teen she enjoyed working with the children’s derby.
La Reina Andrea coronará a la nueva Reina de la Feria del Condado de Platte el miércoles 19 de julio en el recinto ferial de Tracy.
