Police say six vehicles were stolen from the Airport Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership in Platte City over the weekend in an overnight crime event.
Officer Colette Cromer with the Platte City Police Department was on patrol at 1:19 a.m. Saturday when she observed a garage bay door open at the dealership, which is located at 2605 NW Prairie View Road. While investigating the open garage door, the officer discovered forced entry had been made into the building.
A deputy with the Platte County Sheriff’s Department arrived to assist and a search of the building was completed using a police dog. No suspects were located inside the building.
The scene was processed for evidence and then an inventory was completed by employees of the dealership.
A total of six vehicles were noted to have been stolen. Platte City Police Sgt. Mike Mand said he believes all of the stolen vehicles had been parked outside.
The stolen vehicles included:
2019 black Dodge Charger Scat Pack; a 2019 red Dodge Durango GT; a 2018 black Dodge Challenger SXT; 2017 red Dodge Charger RT; 2017 white Chrysler 300; and 2014 black Dodge Challenger.
