The victim was awakened in the early hours of the morning to find Abdelnassar had broken into her apartment and was fondling her while she lay sleeping in her bedroom. The victim ran to her neighbor’s apartment to get help and Abdelnassar was later apprehended.

Abdelnassar was sentenced to five years on the burglary charge and four years on the deviate sexual assault charge. Platte County Circuit Judge Abe Shafer ordered Abdelnassar to complete the sexual offender assessment program with the Missouri Department of Adult Institutions as a part of his sentence. Abdelnassar will also be required to register as a sex offender.

“I am extremely pleased with the court’s sentence today,” explained Tammy J. Glick, Platte County Prosecuting Attorney. “Mr. Abdelnassar will need to complete the sexual offender assessment program before he will be returned to the community, and even then, he will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.”
