Northland Ethnic Festival set for April 11

Northland Ethnic Festival is set for April 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Platte Purchase Middle School, 9400 N Platte Purchase Drive, Kansas City.

Free parking and admission; come any time; the performance schedule will be announced in early April.

Platte County R-3 School District, KC Ethnic Enrichment Commission and community partners invite you to enjoy interacting with ethnic and cultural groups with displays, performances and food.

Ethnic performances will change each half hour, with KCEEC members (same that perform at Swope Park event each August).

Ethnic commissions registered include Switzerland, Samoa, Hong Kong, Germany, Czech/Slovak, Ireland, Colombia, Taiwan, Lebanon, Thailand and Indonesia/
Food available for purchase will be Gabia, Kenya, Germany, Bolivia, Laos, Colombia, Jamaica, and Thailand.

Displays from Isreal, Gambia, Germany, Ukraine, Kenya, Laos, Venezuela, Japan, Czech/Slovak, Jamaica, and Taiwan.

Community groups:
Puppetry Arts Institute, Banneker School Restoration, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, KC Library-Rise, Northland Pride, Park Hill DEI committee, Park Hill South Asian Student Union, Mid Continent Library, Midwest Genealogy Center, Global Ties, KC Ethnic Enrichment Commission, Jewish Vocational Services, International Relations Council, Pirates Serve R-3.
