Mike and Cheryl McGinness of Platte City recently visited Las Vegas. They went to support and watch their daughter, Marcie, run her first marathon in Las Vegas. Their daughter has friends who moved from North Kansas City to Vegas several years ago. They had mapped out the route of the marathon. “They took us to many different mile markers to see her run by,” Cheryl said. There were over 2400 runners in the marathon. Marcie completed the marathon and felt good after the 26.2-mile run. Mike and Cheryl then stayed in Vegas for several more days to see some shows and enjoy the sights. Headed somewhere noteworthy?
