A big weekend ready in Downtown Parkville

PARKVILLE DAYS FESTIVAL IS FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

The Parkville Days celebration, one of Downtown Parkville’s biggest events, is ready to roll this weekend in and around English Landing Park.

A Memorial Day tradition

Hosted by the Main Street Parkville Association (MSPA), the annual Parkville Days is held in Downtown Parkville. This year’s event will be Friday, Aug. 23 to Sunday, Aug. 25.

Parkville Days festival features a variety of family-friendly entertainment, including a parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24.

Throughout the weekend, bring your lawn chairs and enjoy live music along the Missouri River and on Main Street.

The Evans Midland Empire Carnival is open all weekend, starting Friday at 6 p.m.

Browse and enjoy arts and crafts, retail, food, and specialty booths. Participating downtown shops will host their “end of summer” sales and specials and much more.

The festival opens Friday at 6 p.m. In addition to the carnival, there will be live music on the McKeon Stage, a craft and maker fair with retail, food, beer and specialty vendors. Helicopter rides from 6-8 p.m. at $50 per rider.

Some of the musical highlights during the weekend of activities will include:

Friday, Aug. 23:
6 p.m. Parkville Alley Cats
7 p.m. SouLuna
8:30 p.m. Accidental Moguls

Saturday, Aug. 24:
2 p.m. Jillian Riscoe
4 p.m. TBA
6 p.m. Chris Cardwell
8 p.m. Good Fuzz

Sunday Aug. 25:
2 p.m. Brendan McNaughton Band
4 p.m. Jill Westra and Them KC Boys
