Wedding vows were exchanged between Miss Gayle Annette Edwards and Mr. Glen Higley on Sunday, March 25 at the First Baptist Church of Atchison, Kan. The couple was joined in marriage in the presence of their immediate families by Rev. Curtis Fike. They were attended by Miss Lisa Heisterberg of Kansas City and Mr. Randall Hedrick of Atchison.
State Sen. Truman E. Wilson of St. Joseph looks over arts and crafts entries from the first annual Special Olympics. These items from the Kansas City Region Center, Region IV, were on display recently in the rotunda of the Missouri State Capitol Building in Jefferson City. Athletic competition has been held for several years, and this arts and crafts and performing arts competitions were held as well.
Mr. and Mrs. James L. Clemens of Weston, Mo. Countryside Estates will be honored on their 40th wedding anniversary with an open house given by their children at the Clemens home on Sunday, April 22 from 1 to 4 in the afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. John Riordan of Platte City announce the engagement of their daughter, Beth, to Tom Taulbee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Taulbee, Weston. Beth, a 1977 graduate of Platte County R-3 High School, attended Missouri Western State College at St. Joseph.
