Andy’s Frozen Custard is coming to Platte County. A new Andy’s location is going up near the intersection of N. Ambassador Drive and NW Skyview, Kansas City in Platte County. It is in the lot just east of the new Whataburger, which is at 8851. N. Ambassador. Andy’s Frozen Custard has been serving treats since March 19, 1986. The Andy’s Frozen Custard tradition started in Osage Beach, Mo., when John and Carol Kuntz embarked on a new frozen custard endeavor. Their treat quickly became a legend at the lake, and expanded into Springfield, Mo. Andy’s now has locations throughout 14 states. This new location is an 11-minute drive from Downtown Platte City, and also an 11-minute drive from Downtown Parkville. Currently, the Andy’s closest to Platte City is 22 minutes away at 8585 NE Shoal Creek Valley Drive, Kansas City, Mo. 64158, near Liberty.
