Cool Vintage Watches, a downtown Parkville business, was one of several CARES grant applicants receiving approval from the Platte County Commission last week.
John Putnam is listed as the owner of Cool Vintage Watches, located at 105 Main St. Putnam’s wife, Kelly Putnam, is executive director of the Main Street Parkville Association (MSPA), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Historic Downtown Parkville. The MSPA is governed by an executive director and a volunteer Steering Committee.
Cool Vintage Watches was approved for a grant of $11,517.

Also last week, the county commission also approved the recommendation that 10 applications be denied. The 10 are being denied due to “no receipts (being provided) within allowable time period.”
