One employee of Worldspan, an airline computer reservation center near KCI Airport in Platte County, has been diagnosed with tuberculosis and health officials are now testing other employees of the firm. Around 160 employees who were in close proximity to the infected worker have been given TB skin tests. About 20 of them have turned out positive, which is an indication that the person has been infected with TB. However, most people don’t develop symptoms of this disease and cannot spread it to others. Those who tested positive are being examined by doctors to see if any active TB, which is contagious.
