The movie ‘Bucktown’ had a role in courthouse history

Trump and his cronies don’t care about you

I’m so glad that the people decided to give more money to our failing schools! Yes, that is sarcasm. A bloated administrative staff, too many children that can’t read, write, or do math at grade level, DEI (or whatever they are calling it these days),and a school board that just rubber stamps all this crap.

I don’t understand the sycophantic love affair with David Cox. His overbearing attitude and bullying of the citizens of the county, driving business away, taxing nonprofits, charitable organizations, and churches… what a hell of a guy. Let’s not forget his final double finger salute to the people of Platte County as he departs to Florida, where I believe he’s been registered to vote since January. Is it legal for him to still represent the county? I don’t know what happened to him over the years, but good riddance to bad rubbish, as they say.

I for one am extremely grateful that Scott Fricker has decided to run for reelection. In this time of tumult and uncertainty I am comforted to know that there will a firm steady hand at the helm of the county commission. He has served us well during his tenure over the last four years. Protecting the rights and property of the citizens of Platte County has been his primary concern. There are those who do not appreciate his communication skills. Plainly speaking, I would rather have a brilliant brain surgeon who is a little gruff than a complete buffoon who is an eloquent speaker fiddling around with my gray matter.
