FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY IN DOWNTOWN PARKVILLE
The annual Parkville Days festival celebrates the city’s charming historic town and features a variety of family-friendly entertainment.
This year’s Parkville Days event is Friday, Aug. 22 through Sunday, Aug. 24.
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy live music along the Missouri River and on Main Street. There will be family fun throughout the weekend, including the Evans Midland Empire Carnival, starting Friday at 6 p.m.
Browse arts and crafts, retail, food, and specialty vendors. Take a helicopter ride over Parkville and the Missouri River. Participating downtown shops will host their “end-of-summer” promos and specials.

Helicopter Rides (located on the baseball field in Platte Landing Park). Cash Only, $50 per person, minimum of two people – max of three people per ride. No age or height restrictions, but there is a seat restriction of 280 lbs.

Parkville Days Parade ∙ 10 a.m. The parade starts at 63rd Street and Hwy 9 and travels south to downtown Parkville on Main Street. Parkville Trivia and Giveaways start at 10 a.m. at the Grandstand (1st & Main Street)
Family Sports Fest on Saturday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in English Landing Park, hosted by the Platte County Sports Commission, featuring autographs with KC Mascots (Sluggerrr, KC Wolf, Blue, and Mac the Maverick), and contests, prizes, raffles, and giveaways.
