They’re serving up community spirit, inclusion, and joy with every bite at their new hotdog cart in downtown Platte City, according to Katlin Alton, volunteer manager for The Farmer’s House.

The hot dog cart is located in The Farmer’s House Community Courtyard at 301 Main Street. It is operated by individuals with developmental disabilities, who are gaining valuable life and job skills through this fun, flavorful opportunity.

The cart is open to the public every Monday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and offers a menu of gourmet grilled dogs, homemade buns, chips, and a drink.

One happy customer exclaimed “That was one of the best hotdogs I have had in a long time. Probably all The Farmer’s House love that was cooked into it. Thank you for providing me with a great lunch.”
