A sporting goods retailer is on the way to the Tiffany Springs Market Center, Kansas City in Platte County. Academy Sports will be going in the location formerly occupied by Best Buy at 9130 NW Skyview Avenue. Best Buy closed at that location on March 2 of this year. Best Buy had been an original anchor tenant at Tiffany Springs Market Center when that development opened in 2008 near Interstate 29 and Hwy. 152. Academy Sports is known for a variety of products, including apparel, footwear and equipment for a range of sports and outdoor activities. Academy Sports also offers equipment rental and other services. The location, which is listed as consisting of more than 100,000 square feet, is now surrounded by fencing in the parking lot and remodeling is underway. No opening date has yet been announced.
