On second thought, we live in Missouri, don’t bet anything on it, it’s not legal. Get some Scratchers and throw some coins in a video gaming machine somewhere and thank the Missouri Legislature for giving you that opportunity. We don’t deserve such good government.
I feel like you’d have to be a smoker to play video gaming machines in a convenience store. Just seems natural to me. Does anybody know the rule on this?

I tried to be smoker when I was young. I was just so bad at it, I had to quit. Constantly burning shirts and car seats and that little fuzz around your window strip on your car. I just looked like a fat white guy that couldn’t smoke. Had to quit. Mostly a vanity related decision, to be honest.
My daughter got called for jury duty this week in Clay County. This made me feel old for some reason. How do I have a daughter old enough and stable enough to be tracked down for jury duty? Life comes at you fast, people!
I told her to just answer every question with, “I’m all for the death penalty, quick and fast is what I always say.” It’s probably a civil case, so that might help get her back to work quicker.
I think she’s 28 years old or so. I moved every six months until I was 30 years old, so I didn’t see a jury notice till I was like 40 years old.
How many pandemics will get rolled out between now and November? I am putting the over/under at 2. Not sure how many weeks it will take to flatten the curve, but the local health department will let you know.
I have a Presidential library habit that I fed last weekend. Revisited the Truman Library in Independence. It is recently remodeled, and the improvements are nice. If you ever think the presidential politics of current times are unique, just head off to a Presidential library. They had their share of problems in the past as well, just no social media megaphones to scream them from.
Food for thought. Truman was vice president for 82 days before FDR died. In just a few months after moving to the White House, he was trying to end a World War and effectively did. He became president in April and made the decision to drop the nuclear bomb four months later.
Let that sink in next time you think vice president doesn’t matter.
The vote for the Chiefs and Royals has my political junkie fire burning. A no vote is going to be fascinating to see the teams flex their muscle by courting other locations. A yes vote is going to be fascinating because this is stacking up as a “big business” vs. “social justice” type battle and those never end well for the politicians who like saying they are all for the poor and impoverished but also like sitting in the suites at local ballgames.
I can’t wait to watch either way.
