Vendors, music, food set for Main Street Fall Festival

It will be an evening of activities and fun in downtown Platte City.

The annual Main Street Fall Festival will be held in Platte City on Thursday, Sept. 22. The event will run from 5-9 p.m.

A critical injury in crash on Hwy. 152

This is the fifth year that the Platte City Chamber of Commerce has held a fall festival event.

Vendors will line much of Main Street, portions of which will be decorated with mums and other seasonal offerings for the fall season.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Some of the food purchase options will include Big Daddy & Sons BBQ, Highway 92 Food Truck, Ella Mae’s Creamery, CowTown Mini Donuts, and Hayley’s Food Truck.

Jowler Creek Vineyard and Winery will have a booth.

There will be live music by performer Noah Anthony from 7-9 p.m.

Other performances will include Beatniks Dancers from 5:30 to 6 p.m., Pirates Cheerleading Club at 6 p.m.; Platte County High School Cheerleaders at 6:20 p.m.; and a Wear House and More Fashion Show from 6:45 to 7 p .m.

Chiefs mascot KC Wolf will be on hand to help get the evening rolling from 5-6 p.m.

Vendors will include RE/MAX House of Dreams, Designs by Erika, Lyssie’s Freshies, Juice Plus, The Farmer’s House, Cooper’s Creations, Tony Farr Real Estate Group, Cohen’s Art and Framing, Lite it Up, VFW Post 4055, Platte City Flowers and Gifts, The Calling Community Church, Platte-Clay Electric Coop, and Platte City United Methodist Church.

A Kids Zone will be operated by Nodaway Valley Bank.

Tricia Friddell, executive director of the Platte City Chamber of Commerce, noted that hosting a booth at the event starts at $25. For more information, call 816.858.5270 or email tricia@plattecitymo.com.

Main Street will be closed from Fourth Street to Second Street and from Main Street to the north and south alley entrances on Third Street.
Alcoholic beverages can be served, carried and consumed at the event. Alcohol is limited to the areas within the closed streets.
