It’s been said that a tie is like kissing your sister.
It’s just a saying that’s been around since the beginning of sports competitions. We make no judgments here at Landmark Pick’em. You do you.
At any rate, this week’s Landmark Pick’em winner is Kelley Weber, who correctly picked 12 winners and–quite impressively–totaled 22 tiebreaking points. This shows how important it is to make your over/under choices while you’re making your picks. Kelley wins the top prize of a $20 gift certificate to Nick and Jake’s at Parkville.
Now for second place, that’s where things get. . .complicated. Allen Smith and a previous winner, Todd Shifflett, tied with 12 correct game winners and exactly 17 points through all the tiebreakers established by Tech Man Schneider. They tied for the second place prize of a $5 gift certificate to the Ten & Two Coffee Bar at Parkville. We’ll try to dig around in the prize vault to find two of those.
Honorable mention to Mad Mike for taking third this week. Don’t be mad, Mad Mike, it’s the Christmas season.
