Hump week – we’re roughly at the halfway point of the season.
To date players have made their best prognostication in over 122 games (approximately 150 if you count the preseason). We’ve scored 8,246 individual game picks and 16,284 total picks. Landmark Pick’em has seen six different overall winners with – all but one of them – expressing their victories with humility and dignity (we’re looking at you, Foley).
Week Eight brought us something new. Something that has not happened with all those weeks, games and picks. That something was KarlaPerk and Karla’s choice of picking the New York Jets to beat Cincinnati. In Week Eight the entire playing field picked Cincinnati and lost – but not Karla.
Honorable mention to KarlaPerk – the lone winner of the NJY v CIN game this week. Karla must have known something everyone else did not, was incredibly lucky, or borrowed Foley’s chicken-pickem-vodoo set. Regardless – nice work to Karla.
