Almost done.
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) says the Interstate 29/Exit 18 rebuild project is expected to be complete soon, as early as Friday, Oct. 15 or Monday, Oct. 18.
Paving the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 92 was completed in June, all interstate on-off ramps are open, with the last ramp having reopened in late August. Work has continued on the westbound lanes, protected pedestrian crossing, and signal improvements.
The project also includes the first segment of a divided four-lane urban highway on Hwy. 92 east of I-29. The urban highway design includes curb, turn lanes, sidewalks and pedestrian crossing points. This segment is establishing the design standard for Hwy. 92 buildout as a four-lane highway to the eastern city limits of Platte City.
