EDITOR:
One of the best examples of taxpayer dollars at work has to be credited to the Parkville Special Road District for providing excellent road cleaning during the lethally frigid weather. Against continued below zero temperatures, even more bitter wind chill, and imminent frost bite, these brave people responded to the call for action quickly and consistently. Good planning and taking weather predictions seriously saved the days. In the 30 years we’ve lived here, the PCSRD has never failed us.
When most urban areas are unplowable, we are assured we can get groceries, prescriptions, medical attention, or get to work as needed. Taxpayers want and need to trust their providers to adequately perform the services being paid for, without constant vigilance. Texas should take a good look at us. Kudos to the team, we appreciate you.
