USPS, masks and Hillary

USPS

Word has apparently reached Washington D.C. politicians that the United States Postal Service is a mess. Took a bit longer than I expected. Ivan Foley has been pointing this out for a decade or so. Get some Landmark subscriptions to Capitol Hill, stat!

Don’t at me about the local postal workers and the hard work they do. I get it. Not blaming the condition of the business on the local work force. Something is not right at the highest levels and it has been evident for years. Do you guys still think it was a good idea for the United States Postal System to sponsor Lance Armstrong’s bike team? I have been critical of that for quite some time. I still think it was a bad idea, especially since he has been proven a cheater and pretty awful person at this point.

In case you would like to take a look back at the numbers, the postal service paid Armstrong’s bike team about $32 million dollars in the early 2000’s. When he became an admitted fraud, they sued him for $100 million and he settled for $5 million. I’ll let you do the math, but it doesn’t end well for the government run postal service.

Did people watch the Tour De France and see the USPS sponsored team and say to themselves, “Man, I need to go send a letter?” I have been perplexed by this nonsense for over decade at this point.

Joe Biden claimed in a tweet this week that he would “never forget” that the job of President was not about him. I think it is a “Trumpian” stretch of the truth to think that Joe Biden will “never forget” much of anything going forward. You’re not going to last long in Washington if you can’t “not remember” every now and then and given Joe’s ramblings from his basement, I gotta believe he will forget quite a bit of stuff over the next four years.

Good news folks, Hillary Clinton has said she would be willing to join the Biden administration, if needed. I would caution these people to quit prematurely measuring the curtains, but she is still making payments on the glass ceiling event venue for her presidential election party, so my input is probably of no help.

Anyway, if you have family in Benghazi, I’d get them out of there.

I have lost track of mask mandates. I’m lucky to remember my mask most days. But I guess Kansas City has extended into January. Have we flattened the curve yet, or no? I’m basically Joe Biden on all this. My facts have all mixed together. I thought they told us once that masks don’t work and now, we’re wearing them into 2021. Ok, got it. Can the virus still be caught off our cereal boxes, or no? Thankfully, the virus does not impact youth sports, but unfortunately the virus is quite a burden on the Big 10. This is the craziest virus ever; got a mind of its own.

Anyway, flatten the curve out there and wear your mask when told to, unless you’re told not to and then don’t, I guess. Also, don’t do meth.
