Following is a list of applications received for small business grants through the Platte County CARES Small Business Grant program as of July 16.

The program uses federal money provided through the CARES Act passed by Congress earlier this year. The Platte County Commission is in control of $12 million of the federal money. Final decision on which handouts get awarded will be made by the Platte County Commissioners.

This listing contains the name of the business, the name on the grant application and the amount of money the applicant is seeking.

This information was obtained by The Landmark via a request through the Sunshine Law.

County commissioners thus far have already approved 15 of these applications, including the one to Cruise Holidays of Kansas City (Comfort Cruises Inc.) in the amount of $226,540. Find that story here
