Parkville Board of Aldermen last Tuesday night gave final approval to the APEX Plaza development at the northwest corner of Hwy. 45 and Melody Lane.
The site is planned to be a retail center, with a fast food restaurant, sit-down restaurant, and a small amount of strip retail space.
The plan has been opposed by neighbors in the Parkville Heights area because of a driveway connection to Melody Lane.
In other action last week, the board of aldermen approved the first reading of an application for rezoning of three properties on the west side of Hwy. 9 at Clark Avenue. The planning and zoning commission already approved the site plan for the property to include a high-end apartment building with 46 units.
