Platte City voting precinct to be divided

No. 14-Platte City was the largest precinct in Platte County, with over 4,200 registered voters.

Effective beginning with the Aug. 6 primary election, registered voters now residing within the city limits of Platte City will remain in precinct No. 14-Platte City and will continue to cast their ballot at Paxton School, 1601 Branch St. (Hwy. 92), Platte City. Those voters who live at a Platte City address outside of the city limits of Platte City are now in precinct No. 43-Shiloh and will vote at Shiloh Springs Golf Clubhouse, located at 14750 Fairway Lane, Platte City.

To reach Shiloh Springs from Platte City, go east on Highway 92 to Bethel Road, turn north on Bethel Road and follow the signs to Shiloh Springs Golf Course.

All voters affected by this change will be receiving either a voter identification card or a notification of polling site card within the next few days. For additional information, call the Election Board office at 858-4400.
