Mize
murder case set for September
A shake up of defense attorneys has once again delayed
a Platte County murder trial.
Brenda Williams will not face second degree murder charges
until Sept. 23. Williams is accused of driving the van
that followed Thadd Mize, her former son-in-law, down
a Kansas City North street in December. Williams' husband,
Jimmy Williams, is charged with shooting Mize. He is being
charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action.
Anthony Cardarella, the district defender for Clay, Platte,
and Clinton counties, will now represent Williams in her
upcoming trial.
