Detmer
arrested in Texas
The
Platte County Sheriff's Department received information
from the Houston, Tex. Police Department Wednesday that
James Detmer, wanted on suspicion of murder in Platte
County, is being held without bond in Harris County, Tex.
Detmer
was arrested on local tampering and forgery charges yesterday
by the Houston Police Department.
James
Detmer has been charged with second degree murder in the
Jan. 12, 2001 death of his 72-year-old father, Wilber
Detmer who was found dead at his residence located near
Parkville in Platte County last January.
Houston
Police Department discovered some evidence in Detmer's
possession that tied him to the Platte County area. Local
sheriff's department officials have confirmed Detmer's
identity.
Platte
County Sheriff's Department is currently working with
Houston Police Department to return Detmer to Platte County.
