Accused of ravaging her
grandparents’ house
More than $20,000 in damage done

by Valerie Verkamp

A Platte City woman allegedly broke 14 windows and heavily damaged furniture inside her grandparents’ home.

Accord-ing to court documents, 26-year-old Ashley Fulkerson went on a rampage Saturday morning, causing $20,000 to $25,000 in damages.

Fulkerson allegedly smashed 14 exterior windows and damaged multiple pieces of furniture inside the home where she was living alongside her grandparents in the 16600 block of NW 178th Street in Platte City.

Inventory of the damaged property also revealed broken plates, lamps and valuable antique vases.

Police say Fulkerson drove off in her grandparent's BMW Mini Cooper after she had allegedly ravaged her grandparent's home.

The Platte County Prosecutor's Office charged Ashley Fulkerson with a class D felony of property damage in the first degree and a class A misdemeanor of tampering in the second degree.

Fulkerson remains in custody on a $10,000 bond.
