Platte City Police investigating
Sexual assault reported at R-3

by Alan McArthur
Landmark reporter

An alleged sexual assault at the Platte County R-3 High School is being investigated by the Platte City Police Department.

The incident was reported to police on Thursday, May 21 just after 1 p.m.

According to Richard Sayles, police chief, the incident involves two 16-year-olds at the school.
Sayles said that allegedly the male suspect groped the female student in the hallway of the school.

The police do not release names of juveniles involved in crime reports.

Sayles said the case was investigated by the Platte City Police and has now been forwarded to the juvenile court system.
